Haneda Airport is one of the two main airports serving Tokyo. While Narita International Airport is where most international flights operate, Haneda takes on mostly domestic flights, with some exceptions. Some international flights are accommodated at Haneda, but not as heavily as Narita.

Haneda Airport, also called Tokyo International Airport, has three terminals: Domestic Terminal 1, Domestic Terminal 2, and the new International Terminal. Free shuttle buses connect the international terminal to the two domestic terminals.

It’s also closer to the Tokyo city center than Narita, but there are fewer transfer options.

Haneda Airport to Tokyo City Center by Train

Via Tokyo Monorail Rapid

Take the Tokyo Monorail Rapid to Hamamatsucho Station.
From Hamamatsucho, transfer train to JR Yamanote Line or JR Keihin-Tohoku Line and alight at Tokyo Station.

Travel Time: Approximately 25 minutes

Via Keikyu Railways

Board the Keikyu Airport Line train to Shinagawa Station.
From Shinagawa Station, transfer train to JR Yamanote Line or JR Keihin-Tohoku Line and alight at Tokyo Station.

Fare: ¥580
Travel Time: Approximately 30 minutes

Note: Both Tokyo Monorail and Keikyu Railways stop operation after 12 midnight. They will resume operation at around 5 AM.

Haneda Airport to Tokyo City Center by Bus

Limousine buses stop at all three terminals. These buses not only serve many other destinations in Tokyo including Tokyo Station but also nearby prefectures. The limousine buses can take you directly to Tokyo Station or to your hotel if it’s one of those several major hotel stops within Tokyo Station area.
